Ciao Tutti,
I am in Lesmo, Italy right now day 1 of vacation. I got up at 8 am and had breakfast (colazione) with Franca, Gianpy and Ricky. We had lattes...the real ones not Starbucks, and toast, brioche and marmalata del sambuco. Sambuco are dark berries, not the liquor. Ricky made the marmalata. It was delizioso. Then more visiting, then pranzo (lunch). We had lasagne, home grown tomatoes, cheese from the Vatellina Valley (where my nonno is from), bread and cooked vegetables from Franca's orto (garden). Giuseppe Frigerio brought his own wine, 24 bottles he made last year. Then we ate fruit and I took a pisolino (small nap). Tonight more family and dinnerout at 9pm.
We have to go to Il Gigante, my favorite store. I forgot to bring lotion. Il Gigante has everything. Well, ciao for now.
